Product Overview
Item is a Piper Cherokee Starter Switch (yes, it's a push button, but the parts manual calls it a switch). It's part number 487-827. This item is as removed from a 1964 PA-28-140, serial # 28-203xx. Tested OK with multimeter. See the attached images for condition.
Please note: there are two variant of the switch shown in the parts catalogue. My research has indicated that the 487–844 variant is a heavy duty switch and there is marking on the body to indicate this. This switch did not bear that marking, and has been assumed as such to be part 487–827.
