After starting our new Fatman's Aviation Surplus venture, I've had tons of friends, family and fellow pilots asking me "what the heck are you doing?" It's actually a tough question to answer.
I started Fatman's Aviation Surplus originally as a bad gag. Some friends asked me to help them "get shed" of some old avionics and I put them into an eBay store and figured I'd do the same with some of my unneeded gear. Those few friends turned into even more friends, both new and old. Each wanting to cut loose of clutter and maybe find a few dollars for their items. I'd realized that our unexpected new consignment business had suddenly been born!
We've now had the opportunity to continue that growth and add to our inventory by offering of salvage parts and components! Even after these changes, we're devoted to our mission statement: Finding new homes for serviceable aircraft parts and curios, making a few friends, and perhaps pocketing a few dollars along the way!
